They are a little tall for smaller pugs, though, so be careful to order the right size. Bowls hold plenty of water for the whole day, but I would never leave food in there....my pugs eat too quickly! I got it and he was easily trained on it. It just recently stopped working. So, I had to get another one. The one I received I believe was someone else's return...packaging was not original, some things were misplaced and rearranged...If it stops working, I will send it back. So far it is working, though...we will see. The screws were very rusty, there was glue all over the beads/jewels on the crown, and the actual pad/sleeping area is hideous in person. The colors and material make it look very cheap(the padding). The steel part is very well made, except for the rails under the padding that support it that buckle when my 15lb dog sits on the bed..
